Infantry behavior ...

Is there ANY way to get the infantry to act more realistic ?

These guys just don't act much like they're in a combat situation Rolling Eyes

Does shooting them help, or do they still persist in their misbehaviour. clown

No not without re-scripting their AI from scratch

The problem also is that the Path finding or routing was never finished you can see where they down tools on it in the scripts and hashed it out. They fudged it so that the units would move about also the movement scripts for the units were never fully completed in some of the scenarios. Basically they shipped a late Alpha or very early beta as finished product cause they had the rug pulled out from underneath them.

If you are playing single player vK, then can I recommend Steel Fury, a great single player tank simulation.

Thanks guys for the replies ...

Thats sad that had to happen ... this could have been a show stopper with a little more effort

Yeah , I have Steel Fury ... in fact when these 2 came out I elected Steel Fury over TvT and that was a good choice

I was able to pick up TvT just recently for free so I'm givin' her a go and learnin' that there wasn't much in the way of mods made to correct the bad Sad

Yes, the Infantry bug seems a sad problem I noticed from Day 1, could it be corrected halfway, maybe? I have a very average knowledge base of computers in the modern day, but could a script from "Steel Fury" be an altered scripting file be used as model of sorts to create a working version (not even near perfect), just as representation of sorts for TvsT? Sounds a bit far-fetched, I suppose...

I wish something could be done about the infantry behavior ... it's rediculous the way they act lol!

Unfortunately Sf and TvT use different game engines so the code for the scripts and syntax will be different, so we could not use the scripts from SF I would be a happy man if we could
