Need a little help with T34 vs Tiger
So i am sure i am beating a dead horse here but i could use a little help getting t34 vs tiger to run correctly done a lot of searching and tried all the normal solutions. The game starts fine goes through the light house interactive intro then crashes, The game is torrent copy of course since the game is no longer available for purchase as far as i can see. Tried replacing the files with the one that comes in the 14 MB patch no luck either However maybe i am not patching the game right. I had it running fine on a older limited Windows XP computer but i have since built a new rig here are the specs WIN 7 P AMD 955 Quad core Clocked to 4.0 GHZ, Corsair Liquid cooled, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia Evga 460 GTX graphics card overclocked with Evga Precision, Dual screens, Its a great game and would love to have it running especially to check out the new ZeeWolf mods thanks to all in advance i am sure everyone here is tired of this kinds of stuff

Re: Need a little help with T34 vs Tiger
With Vista, I had to put the TvT install in the windows "Games folder" so it would run....you could give that a try.
full path on Vista 64 bit system is: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\T34vsTiger I suspect it's the same with Win7 64 bit system.

Re: Need a little help with T34 vs Tiger
the ZeeWolf Mod did not work the installer would not create a file oh well i am just happy to have the game working! However that zeewolf mod cleaned up a lot of the game bugs as well as made the tigers engine sound much more realistic. if anyone has any ideas i would be very thankful?

Re: Need a little help with T34 vs Tiger
We have the MMP 7 mod which adds realistics engine and gun sounds and really squashes a lot of bugs in the game and also makes it just about playable in MP.
Would you be interested in giving it a try?

all you have to do is create another folder for another instance of the game, unzip the contents of zip file to it and copy and paste the tvt exe from your curent install and the the dlls I sent you in to the new instance game directory and you should be up and running.

Re: Need a little help with T34 vs Tiger
I would be happy to leave more feedback on the beta mod in a directed place if there is one. However i will say that i was very impressed with the mod for the two short missions i played. Sound is huge for me and this mod make the sounds so much more realistic as well as the AI seems to be greatly improved things look better and flow better at first glance other things! I can tell that a lot of time and effort was put into its making, I am impressed those involved did a great job! Thanks Vase and Murkz for your help and access to this great mod!

Re: Need a little help with T34 vs Tiger
Bronco you are more than welcome, it is still only a beta there are more updates in 2.75 but these are more code improvments and fixes for the MP side of things.
The ballistics for the 34 are being looked at as well as the engine burnout time.
We are hard at work on trying to make the AI tanks playable, but this is a long way off we are also in the throws of getting in new models in to the game, but this has a long development path too.
We are all doing this in what little spare time we have, but we still keep comming back to it like a moth to the flame . There is a whole cast of individuals that are are involved Snorri is responsible for the skins on the tig and 34, Sid did the sounds, Jeff and me fiddle with the code, Jeff fiddles with the shadow and lighting effects, Puffy fiddles with the piercing scripts and vehicle scripts,Ghost, Hodi, Ohec, Grinch, KaptQ try to break the thing once we have tweaked it and NSU makes fantastic maps (unfortunatlely NSU is now working on Cliffs of Dover but he does stay in touch from time to time). Jeff also makes fantastic models. We also have access to another modeller too Vex but he is currently mainly engaged on I44 and the newest member of the team is norrin who is a coder and has been mainly involved in ARMA, but is helping us out with the model import and export tools, although he has some work to finish on ARMA at the mo.

Re: Need a little help with T34 vs Tiger
Well thanks again for getting me in touch with that download. All of you have done a great job i am just glad people are interested in this game and are actively making it better. I am a big WW2 Armour fan so i am always glad to see a more realistic interpretation. I was happy to read about the new models in the game that would be very cool. I would be happy to help out anyway i can even though i am not much of a programer, More of a hardware guy. I would be happy to take part in helping test any other mods your team has in the works just let me know. I actively play ARMA 2 as well and was a fan of that series back when Codemasters and Bohemia interactive were teamed up on Operation Cold War Crisis years back. This a very helpful forum i am glad i ran across it! Thanks again for helping me get the game up and running!
