Very nice model - captures the impression of the real thing I get everytime I see it at Bovington Smile...

But is there something odd going on with smoothing angles or normals on the mantlet?

The shading of polys depends on the modeling engine and the settings for it's rendering. What you are seeing is lighting that is not blended by angle and often shows each triangle of the model. Most times, it's either done by accident or to show those looking at the model the polys.

Murkz is creating top notch models.
