Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
I have MMP5 installed also, so im fine with sticking with that. Toejam, i tried to add you on Gamerranger but 8 other people have that nickname, all with CAP letters in different places. If you give me ur email address I can add you that way. My email address for game ranger is PanzerArmy1939@yahoo.com. If anyone who wants to play online wants to post their game ranger email address or add me to your list. I'd like to do some online games asap. Oilman, when you get ur teamspeak up and running i've already got TS installed and im ready to go. CST time zone here.

Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
I live in Germany our timezone is CET.
some of us live in the UK CET-1hour
at the moment we (the tam) spend no time with TvsT but we (you and me and others) can try to play a MP-game.
i'm available after 20:30 CET ... so we can arrange sth.

Sorry about this guys, I moved from the UK to France on 3 May, I only got an internet connection yesterday!
I then discovered that France Telecom give you webspace, but it is only for filesharing, and cannot be used to host a site. This is unlike the UK where I had acres of free webspace to host sites with my service provider. So, either I will have to pay for webspace to host my sites or try and find a suitable free webspace provider, preferably one with FTP support and no advertising.
Hopefully I can get this all back up and running soon!
Cheers

Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
we had some experiences with Hamachi, GameRanger and now ... Tunngle.
What is the best Program with probability of success?
I don't know! With every program there are pros and cons either way.
The last time we mostly uses GameRanger because Hamachi is permanent waiting and working in the background although it is not needed.
Some player now uses Tunngle.
What is Tunngle? You can inform about Tunngle here --> http://www.tunngle.net/en/
We tried Tunngle the last days ... i played with "numrollen" and a friend of him and we had good connection results.
I think we need some more testing with Tunngle. The Tunngle Basic version is always free ... as yet

Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
We need to start a Steam group so we can check to see who is all online and chat via Steam overlay when we have the game open.

Because no one wants to use that since everyone I know uses Steam. Steam is much easier to use and it also helps inform others about TvT.

Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
Yes with hodi the test results were good but i think with more players it will get worse. Not only the game is bugged, MMG is too. So if no patch or s.t. is comming out its useless
We only use tunngle and i only know 1 persone who use steam --> hodi I will never use Steam for several reasons.
Here, im waiting for 1.0 for this mod (Arma2 WW2 Mod) -> http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=91847

Not exactly ...
i use steam because i'm a Red Orchestra player - but i don't know, that it's possible to play TvsT in steam
If i play TvsT with teammates we usually use Gameranger

Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
Lets all pick a day and playing some MP together. How does that sound? Please, for the love of God use Steam and join the T34vTiger Steam group. That way we can all pick a day and coordinate how to make this happen.

Steam - Standard or MMP5?
Just so that I know how to set things up at my end, are the games played on Steam in standard Tvt, or MMP5?
Cheers

Re: Multiplayer
Having enjoyed playing TvsT online in the early days, I too would like to get back into multiplayer. I have managed to join the Group on Steam and await further developments. My timezone is Atlantic (GMT -4).

Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
What I have done is create 3 folders in my programs directory.
1. "C:\Program Files\Lighthouse Interactive Standard\T34vsTiger\TvsT.exe"
2. "C:\Program Files\Lighthouse Interactive MMP5\T34vsTiger\TvsT.exe"
3. "C:\Program Files\Lighthouse Interactive Zeewolf\T34vsTiger\TvsT.exe"
In Gameranger I can 'browse' and select either Standard or MMP5.
The Zeewolf version is not multiplayer.
Ok, now the problems. I used to play on Gameranger all the time, but now I cannot host. A couple of others are trying too and they are having the same problems. Can someone who knows that their setup works test it so that I know I am not flogging a dead horse? I have obviously forgotten something but for the life of me I cannot remember what it might be.
Any suggestions?

Re: Looking to join in multiplayer.
i noticed, that i need to forwarded the ports in the router for every computer you have
i have two Computers ... one with XP and one with Win7
i never could host a game with my Win7 comp and had no problems with my XP
some day Murkz told me to check the ports in the router for especially this PC ... and this was the reason why.
