Revisiting TvsT

For those of us that wish to play TvsT, until PanzerUnity arrives. TvsT needs to be the same version for all players that join.

A fresh install of tvt is very important, if not done it may well crash the server due to different versions.

PATCH http://sonargames.ru/games/patchTvsT_v_1.zip PATCH - after install, make sure it points to the correct place you installed you're new version of TvT to. Please make sure you choose version 2 of the tiger and t34 sounds in the mmp5 patch.

MMP5 http://samsi69.free.fr/T34/FINAL/MMP5.0.exe This is the latest mmp5, install after the patch, again to the correct path.

Delete the contents of the Cache folder in the game root (DO NOT DELETE THE CACHE FOLDER). Do not worry the game will recreate the contents.

Gameranger to play online Then install gameranger http://www.gameranger.com/ and join our chat room.

We have had some map problems with mmp5 and have changed the install now.



These are TvsT with patch1 and our patch, as yet unreleased with a new south Russia map, Tiger engine sounds and German voices.

Trying to do that patch and takes me to a Russian site and well what more do I need to say.

I am currantly a beta tester for world of tanks which is real cool. But would olso like to get involved in T34 vs Tiger.

Do I need to D/L that patch or can I go Just stright to the MMP5 patch and so on?

I see the russian page(s) are broken in the moment

You can download the patch from here (it's slowly) -> http://www.wuala.com/horstdiehl/Dokumente/öffentlich/patchTvsT_v_1.zip

but the patch isn't needed for mmp5. You can play with and without the patch.
It's recommended in Multyplayer-games that all players have the same version.

i'm using "Generic Mod Enabler" to manage the different versions

So tell me is the commuity starting to get big with T34 v Tiger.. because I would like to see it back out there for all us tank guys to enjoy.

Just a follow up,

Reading the other threads I see there is a mmp4 and a mmp5.. is the later the one you guys use now ? or are still both in use, and if thats the case which is the most used?

I am in New Zealand and have some friends with TVT that they have had for a litttle while now.. We speak on teamspeak 3 most nights and they tell me that TVT is a dead game but i keep telling them that there is a community out there trying to bring it back to life

Am I right in saying this..Should I tell em to reinstall the game patch it up with mmp 4 or mmp5 ? an give it a go throughthe game sever thing?

Just another I also fly Rise of Flight WW1 flight sim which is very cool. and IL2 which you connect through a sever host thing called hyperlobby.

is it possible for TVT to go down that road ?

Sorry to keep bothering you guys but keen to get this sim going again.
